A total of 374 kilograms and 600 grams of methamphetamine and heroin were seized in a drug operation conducted in the Beylikdüzü, Esenyurt, and Başakşehir districts of Istanbul. Four suspects were detained.
In an operation conducted in three different districts of Istanbul, a total of 374 kilograms and 600 grams of narcotic substances were seized, consisting of 370 kilograms and 450 grams of methamphetamine soaked in coffee and 4 kilograms and 150 grams of heroin. It was reported that 4 suspects were apprehended during the raids.
SUSPECTS WERE UNDER POLICE SURVEILLANCE
According to the information obtained, a new operation was carried out by the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotic Crimes Division to prevent drug trafficking. In the investigations conducted under the direction of the prosecutor's office, three houses and a warehouse in Beylikdüzü, Esenyurt, and Başakşehir, where drug trafficking and storage were detected, were placed under police surveillance.
4 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Operations were carried out at the identified addresses yesterday. In the raids conducted with a sniffer dog, 4 suspects were detained. During the searches in the houses and the warehouse, a total of 374 kilograms and 600 grams of narcotic substances were seized, consisting of 370 kilograms and 450 grams of methamphetamine soaked in coffee and 4 kilograms and 150 grams of heroin. The 4 suspects apprehended during the operation were taken to the Narcotic Crimes Division for questioning. After the completion of the proceedings initiated against the suspects for the crime of "(Manufacturing and trafficking of narcotic or stimulant substances," they will be referred to the judicial authorities today.
