The Karakuş family, living in Yeşiltepe Neighborhood of Beydağ, Izmir, started a search in the vicinity after realizing their 4-year-old child, Alim Eray Karakuş, was not at home.
During searches conducted by family members and neighbors, the young child was found motionless in a neighborhood irrigation pool.
BODY FOUND IN THE POOL
Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Alim Eray Karakuş, retrieved from the pool, was determined to have lost his life.
The child's body was sent to the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
