The Zero Waste Festival welcomes its visitors at Atatürk Airport with events combining energy efficiency, circular economy, technology, and art. Environmental awareness is raised through children's workshops, theater, concerts, and talks.

The Zero Waste Festival continues to welcome visitors at Atatürk Airport with its comprehensive content spanning from energy efficiency to circular economy, and from technology to art.

On the second day of the festival, which saw high participation, awareness activities are being held. Workshops for children and young people on producing toys and artworks from recycled materials, environment-themed games, competitions, and interactive educational programs are taking place.

The Haberler.com booth at the festival also attracted great interest from visitors. At the booth, prepared with the slogan "Zero Waste in Digital," the importance of environmentally friendly habits in the digital world was explained, and visitors were informed about digital cleaning and sustainable technology use.

The "Garbage Atlas" theater show, specially prepared for children, conveyed zero waste awareness through an entertaining story. The young participants both had fun and learned to protect nature through the show.

Concerts by the Palet Turkish Music Ensemble and Fungistanbul were performed using instruments made from recycled materials.

SİNAN AKÇIL AND EMRE AYDIN WILL TAKE THE STAGE

At the festival, which will continue with various events today, there will be a "Chat with Sertaç Abi" and a "Recycled Orchestra of Cateura Concert." Sinan Akçıl and Emre Aydın will also take the stage at the festival.

The "Zero Waste Kitchen" at the festival will offer an integrated education and experience area that brings theory and practice together, aiming to raise awareness against food waste. The kitchen will provide expert training for adults and children.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Zero Waste Festival, realized under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan, Chair of the United Nations (UN) Zero Waste High-Level Advisory Board and Honorary Chair of the Zero Waste Foundation, in collaboration with the Zero Waste Foundation and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, will welcome visitors at Atatürk Airport until June 7 with its comprehensive content spanning from energy efficiency to circular economy, and from technology to art.

The festival brings together cultural, artistic, and scientific events under the theme "Efficiency in Energy, Transformation in the Future."

Various applications catering to all segments, from children to youth, families to technology enthusiasts, are available at the festival area.

At the festival, which has a very broad content ranging from renewable energy technologies to artificial intelligence-supported applications, from recycling workshops to sustainable transportation solutions, participants can analyze their own environmental impact through circular economy practices, waste management systems, and carbon and water footprint measurement areas.

In special experience areas prepared with virtual reality technologies, changes in ecosystems and the effects of the climate crisis can be observed interactively.

In the Zero Waste Museum area, presentations questioning production and consumption habits are featured, while exhibitions prepared by utilizing the transformative power of art draw attention to the limitation of resources and invite visitors to a more sustainable lifestyle.

Beyond being an environment-themed event, the festival aims to create social awareness with the goal of efficient use of resources, spreading conscious consumption habits, and strengthening environmental responsibility awareness.
