Beşiktaş lost 3-2 to Spartak Trnava in their last friendly match during the Slovakia camp.
Turkish Super League giant Besiktas faced Spartak Trnava in the final preparation match of their pre-season camp in Slovakia. Spartak Trnava won the match played at City Arena Trnava with a score of 3-2.
BESIKTAS COULD NOT GET WHAT THEY WANTED IN THE 5-GOAL MATCH
Besiktas took the lead with a goal from Ilhan Fakili in the 13th minute. Trnava increased their pressure in the final moments of the first half, scoring goals through Phlip Azango in the 37th minute, Lorent Mehmeti in the 45th minute, and Filip Trello in the 45+2nd minute to make it 3-1, going into halftime ahead. The black-and-whites reduced the deficit to one with a goal from Tiago Djalo in the 78th minute, but it was not enough.
PREPARATION CAMP DID NOT GO AS EXPECTED
Besiktas, who won their first preparation match 2-1 against Gyirmot FC, later drew 0-0 with Mosonmagyarovari and 1-1 with Malzenice. The black-and-whites also lost 2-1 to Widzew Lodz.
NEXT OPPONENT: MIDTJYLLAND
Besiktas will host Midtjylland in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League 2nd Qualifying Round on July 23.
