A baby abduction attempt that seemed like a movie script took place at Şanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital. A woman disguised in a nurse's uniform infiltrated the newborn ward and tried to take a baby in her arms, but was thwarted at the last moment thanks to the alertness of real nurses. The fleeing suspect was quickly caught and taken into custody through the meticulous tracking of security forces.
A woman named H.İ.Ö. in Şanlıurfa, wearing a nurse uniform, entered the neonatal unit of Şanlıurfa Education and Research Hospital during the noon hours.
ATTEMPTED TO KIDNAP A BABY
There, H.İ.Ö. picked up a baby and tried to take it out of the unit. When the nurses on duty noticed the situation and intervened, the woman panicked, left the baby in her arms, and fled the hospital. A short chase ensued by hospital staff, but the suspect disappeared.
IDENTIFIED AND CAPTURED VIA SECURITY CAMERAS
Upon the report, many police teams were dispatched to the hospital. Examining security cameras, the teams identified the suspect and launched efforts to capture her. As a result of the investigations conducted by the Eyyübiye District Police Department Research Bureau teams, the suspect H.İ.Ö. was taken into custody. H.İ.Ö.'s procedures at the police station are ongoing.
