In the statement indicating that inspections were initiated to protect especially small-scale producers and suppliers due to complaints about unfair commercial practices faced by producers and suppliers in the dairy sector and delays in payment periods, the following was noted:
"As a result of the inspections, four large-scale companies that purchase raw milk from small-scale producers and suppliers have been fined 58.3 million lira for engaging in unfair commercial practices. The Ministry of Trade continues its efforts to prevent any unfair commercial practices and delays in payment periods that may negatively affect the commercial activities of agricultural and food producers with determination."
