Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal announced that they have parted ways with French star Karim Benzema by mutual agreement.
Saudi Arabian team Al Hilal have parted ways with 38-year-old French striker Karim Benzema, who joined the squad in February.
''BENZEMA'S ERA ENDS''
In the club's statement, "Al-Hilal and French player Karim Benzema have agreed to terminate their contract by mutual consent, thus bringing Benzema's era with Al-Hilal's first team to an end."
The statement added, "Al-Hilal expressed its appreciation for Benzema's contributions during his time with the team, and for the professionalism, dedication, and leadership he displayed both on and off the pitch. The club extends its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Karim Benzema for his time in the Al-Hilal shirt and wishes him success in the next stage of his career."
SCORED 25 GOALS IN 34 MATCHES
Benzema, who joined the squad in February 2026 on a free transfer from Al Ittihad, had a short-lived spell at Al Hilal. Last season, Benzema scored 25 goals in 34 matches across all competitions in the Al-Hilal shirt.
