In Antalya, 7 of the 12 suspects detained in a simultaneous operation on charges of procuring prostitution were arrested, 4 were released under judicial control, and 1 was released by the prosecutor's office. It was stated that the operation was a continuation of the investigation into Tuğçe Güney, the head of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center, who was arrested last week.
A hot development occurred in the "bribery" and "corruption" investigation against Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
SIMULTANEOUS "PROSTITUTION" OPERATION: 12 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Within the scope of the investigation coordinated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and carried out by teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate, a simultaneous operation was conducted on August 4 against suspects allegedly involved in procuring prostitution. In the operation, S.A., C.T., S.S., G.Ü., D.Ö., K.B.K., E.B., C.Ş., and E.G.T., along with 3 suspects whose identities were not disclosed, were detained.
7 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
During searches conducted at the addresses of the suspects, numerous digital materials related to the investigation were seized. After their procedures at the police station, among the suspects referred to the courthouse, S.S., G.Ü., and C.Ş. were released under judicial control, and 1 was released by the prosecutor's office. S.A., C.T., D.Ö., K.B.K., E.B., and E.G.T. were arrested by the duty judge. It was reported that the investigation is ongoing.
IT IS A CONTINUATION OF THE TUĞÇE GÜNEY INVESTIGATION
In the first phase of the investigation, which police teams had been conducting technical and physical surveillance on for some time, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Youth Center Coordinator Tuğçe Güney had been detained and arrested by the duty judge. It was stated that the procedures for the suspects detained in the last operation were carried out as a continuation of this investigation.
SHE WAS CAUGHT AT A LUXURY HOTEL
Güney had been detained last month while vacationing at a luxury hotel in Marmaris, Muğla. It was learned that Güney, who was arrested and sent to prison, had addressed Muhittin Böcek, the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor previously arrested within the scope of the investigation, as "father" in her social media posts.
