Seven US-based companies made the top 10 on the World's Best Workplaces 2021 list released Tuesday.
The state of California-based Cisco ranked second, while hotel chain Hilton came in third on the list, which was prepared by the Great Place to Work Institute and Fortune.
Chicago-based biopharmaceutical firm AbbVie took fourth place and San Francisco-based customer relationship management and cloud-based software firm Salesforce was fifth.
Minnesota-based consumer good company 3M was listed sixth, Wisconsin-based cleaning products supplier SC Johnson came seventh.
Another biopharmaceutical company, California-based Amgen, took the eighth spot.
They were followed by German software corporation SAP and Swiss health care company Roche, which took the ninth and tenth spots, respectively.
The top spot went to Germany-based global mail courier DHS Express.
Great Place to Work Institute said companies receive additional credit for efforts to successfully create an excellent workplace culture in their worldwide locations.
To be eligible for the list, a company must be named to five or more national Best Workplaces lists across Great Place to Work's global offices, have 5,000 employees or more worldwide and at least 40% of the company's workforce, or 5,000 employees, must be based outside of the country in which the company is headquartered. -
