81-year-old Ender Eliçin, who was traveling standing on an IETT bus in Sarıyer, lost his balance and fell to the ground. The elderly passenger, who was taken to the hospital, died despite all the interventions of doctors. The moment of the incident was captured on the bus's security camera.
An 81-year-old passenger lost his life after falling and being injured in an incident on an IETT bus in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul.
Ender Eliçin, who was standing on the 58A numbered IETT bus operating on the Poligon Mahallesi-Kabataş line, lost his balance and fell to the ground while near the front door area.
DIED IN HOSPITAL
The bus driver, noticing the passenger had fallen, stopped the vehicle and notified medical teams. After initial intervention by teams arriving at the scene, Eliçin was taken to Seyrantepe Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital.
However, the 81-year-old passenger could not be saved despite all interventions by doctors.
CAMERA RECORDS EXAMINED
Following the incident, the IETT driver was taken to the police station and released after giving his statement.
Meanwhile, it was learned that the moment Ender Eliçin lost his balance and fell to the ground was recorded by the bus's security camera.
