The death of Sultan Aydın, who disappeared in Eskişehir in 2007 and was found dead in Porsuk Creek, was clarified 19 years later after JASAT teams reopened the case. While statements suggested that father Süleyman Aydın was the perpetrator of the incident, it was noted that the father died in 2022.
A suspicious death incident that occurred in 2007 in the Yeniyurt neighborhood of Eskişehir's Beylikova district and remained unresolved for years has been solved 19 years later by the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) teams.
FOUND DEAD WITH A BROKEN NECK
According to allegations, it was claimed that there was a relationship between 29-year-old Sultan Aydın, a seasonal worker in the area, and the son of a field owner living in the neighborhood. It was reported that the father, Süleyman Aydın, who allegedly learned of the incident, took his daughter to the land and later filed a missing person report. Sultan Aydın, who was being sought as missing, was later found dead in the Porsuk Stream with a broken neck. No results were achieved for many years in the investigation launched regarding the incident.
CASE REOPENED
Upon the case being reexamined, the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) teams launched a comprehensive investigation. Within the scope of the investigation, Sultan Aydın's two sisters were taken into custody. It was learned that the sisters, whose statements were taken, claimed that the incident was carried out by their father Süleyman Aydın, and that a scene reconstruction was conducted by the Public Prosecutor at the incident site.
EFFORTS CONTINUE TO CLARIFY THE INCIDENT
Meanwhile, it was reported that Süleyman Aydın, against whom allegations were made, passed away in 2022. It was learned that the investigation is being continued by the relevant prosecutor's office based on the new information obtained.
