In Karabük, 87-year-old Halil Önder memorized the Holy Quran by working on his own for 3 years without attending any Quran course. Having successfully passed the Presidency of Religious Affairs' Memorization Determination Exam, Önder received his memorization authorization certificate from Provincial Mufti Mustafa Yavuz.

HE MEMORIZED IT IN 3 YEARS WITHOUT ATTENDING A COURSE
According to a statement from the Provincial Mufti's Office, Önder, who memorized the Holy Qur'an by working on his own for 3 years without attending a Qur'an course, successfully passed the Hafiz Determination Examination conducted by the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
THE PROVINCIAL MUFTI PRESENTED THE CERTIFICATE
After the exam, Önder, who became entitled to receive the hafiz certification, was presented his certificate by Provincial Mufti Mustafa Yavuz.
Yavuz, whose views were included in the statement, congratulated Önder, who completed his memorization with love, determination, and effort for the Holy Qur'an despite his advancing age, and wished that this success and his love for the Qur'an would set a good example for everyone, especially young people.
