In Bayburt, a sudden downpour and hazelnut-sized hail blanketed the city in white in only 10 minutes. While puddles formed on avenues and streets, some drivers had difficulty moving forward. During the rainfall, sparks occurred in the lighting system of the historic Bayburt Castle, and the castle's lights went out. After the rain stopped, while local tradesmen began cleaning work, AFAD announced that no adverse incidents had been reported.
After the hail and downpour that hit Bayburt, puddles formed on side streets, especially on Cumhuriyet Avenue. As the rain stopped and the water receded, shopkeepers also cleaned in front of their businesses.

Hail the size of hazelnuts fell along with a thunderstorm that lasted about 10 minutes in the city. During the precipitation, hailstones accumulating on the roads and sidewalks formed a white layer around.
