A 107-year-old woman in China has developed an unusual growth on her forehead resembling a horn. Locals see this as the secret to her long life. The elderly woman, known only as Chen, became a local celebrity in the Guangdong region where she lives due to the 10-centimeter growth that appeared on her forehead a few years ago. Doctors explained that this growth is a skin horn (cutaneous horn) related to prolonged sun exposure. Despite her advanced age and this condition, Chen is in good health, has a good appetite, and maintains a positive outlook on life. Residents of the area refer to this growth as Chen's "longevity horn" and believe it is the reason for her good health. While such growths are generally benign, they carry a small risk of cancer, so experts recommend regular check-ups. After a video of Chen was shared on Douyin, China's version of TikTok, social media users expressed their astonishment. Chen is not the only elderly person with a horn-like growth on her head. In 2019, a 10-centimeter "devil's horn" on Shyam Lal Yadav, who lived in India, was surgically removed. The 74-year-old Yadav stated that this unicorn-like protrusion began to grow after he hit his head. An elderly woman named Liang Xiuzhen in Sichuan, China, was also referred to as the "Rhino Woman" due to a 13-centimeter protrusion growing in the center of her head. This growth, which started as a black mole, was diagnosed by doctors as a horn-like skin tumor.
