Akkurt, who collapsed about 200 meters from his home, was carried to the front of his house with the help of bystanders, but was determined to have died during the check. Niyazi Akkurt, 72, who wanted to walk home after drinking alcohol with friends in a park in Eskişehir, collapsed about 200 meters before reaching his home. SUDDENLY FELL ILL WHILE GOING HOME 

The incident occurred in the Hacı Seyit neighborhood of the Tepebaşı district. According to the information obtained, Niyazi Akkurt, who was married and the father of 2 children, met with his friends in a park and consumed alcohol for a while.

Later, Akkurt left his friends and set out on foot to go home. However, the 72-year-old man suddenly fell ill and collapsed on Adalet Ağaoğlu Street, about 200 meters from his home.

THOSE AROUND HIM RUSHED TO HIS AID 

Those around, seeing Akkurt half-conscious on the ground, rushed to his aid. The people in the vicinity placed the elderly man on a blanket and carried him to the front of his house.

After a while, realizing that Akkurt was motionless and not responding to them, his neighbors reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

DEATH FOUND SUSPICIOUS 

Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In the check carried out by the health teams, it was determined that Niyazi Akkurt had lost his life.

The lifeless body of Akkurt, whose death was deemed suspicious by the municipal physician, was taken to the Eskişehir City Hospital Morgue for an autopsy after the examinations at the scene were completed.

The exact cause of death of 72-year-old Akkurt will be determined after the autopsy. The investigation launched into the incident continues.
