The bill containing regulations to strengthen the rights of martyrs' families and veterans was accepted and enacted in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. With the new regulation, the pensions of the mothers and fathers of martyrs will be improved, and monthly salaries will be provided to those who were injured in the fight against terrorism but are not considered disabled, and to the veterans of July 15. There will also be an increase in the pensions of veterans and the care allowance paid to severely disabled veterans.
The Bill on Amendments to Certain Laws, containing significant regulations regarding the rights of families of martyrs and veterans, was accepted and enacted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) General Assembly. Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the regulation would strengthen the economic and social rights of relatives of martyrs and veterans.
PENSIONS OF MARTYRS' MOTHERS AND FATHERS WILL BE IMPROVED
In her statement following the enactment of the regulation, Minister Göktaş reported that the pensions paid to the mothers and fathers of all martyrs will be improved so as not to fall below the minimum wage.
Göktaş stated that the regulation would strengthen the rights of families of martyrs and veterans, saying, "We are bringing gratitude together with stronger rights for our families of martyrs and our heroic veterans."
PENSIONS WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED TO VETERANS NOT CONSIDERED DISABLED
With the regulation, the way will be opened for pensions to be provided for the first time to individuals who were injured in the fight against terrorism but are not considered disabled.
These individuals will also be provided with social rights such as free public transportation and discounts on electricity and water bills.
PENSION REGULATION FOR JULY 15 VETERANS
It was stated that pensions will also be provided to July 15 veterans within the scope of the law.
Additionally, it was announced that the existing pensions of individuals who were injured during July 15 and the fight against terrorism, who are not considered disabled but have been granted pensions after a degree determination, will also be increased.
PENSIONS OF VETERANS WILL BE INCREASED
With the regulation, increases will also be made in the pensions of veterans in different groups who served for the homeland.
Accordingly, the pensions of veterans, including privates and corporals, security guards, military students, and civilians who contributed to preventing terrorist acts, will be increased.
AGE LIMIT FOR RE-EXAMINATION RIGHT IS CHANGING
The regulation regarding the age for the right of privates and corporals to re-examination is also included in the law.
Accordingly, the date of reaching the age of 55 will be taken as the basis for the age limit. The regulation aims to prevent potential losses of rights in this area.
CARE ALLOWANCE FOR SEVERELY DISABLED VETERANS WILL BE INCREASED
Another provision of the new regulation covers severely disabled veterans. Accordingly, the care allowance paid to severely disabled veterans will be increased.

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş thanked those who contributed following the enactment of the regulation.
Göktaş said, "Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to stand by the precious families of our martyrs, who are entrusted to us, and our heroic veterans."
Göktaş, who also thanked the deputies who supported the regulation, wished that the law would be beneficial for the country, the nation, families of martyrs, and veterans.
