Two civilian aircraft that violated temporary flight restrictions were intercepted by F-16 fighter jets affiliated with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and were escorted away from the area.
F-16S TOOK OFF WHILE TRUMP WAS AT THE GOLF CLUB
Trump had gone to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, to spend the weekend. While the President was at the club, NORAD sprang into action after two civilian aircraft were detected violating the temporary flight restrictions in the area.
TWO AIRCRAFT WERE ESCORTED AWAY FROM THE AREA
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) stated that F-16 fighter jets intercepted two general aviation aircraft, and the aircraft were safely removed from the restricted airspace.
It was reported that it is not yet clear whether the pilots accidentally entered the restricted area, and that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will make this assessment.
NORAD also called on pilots to check NOTAMs, which show temporary airspace restrictions, before flights.
