A 79-year-old woman who jumped into the sea at Pendik beach lost her life. The horrifying moments were captured on security cameras as police divers retrieved the woman's lifeless body from the water.

At around 13:30 in the Pendik district of Istanbul, 79-year-old Azime A. arrived next to the fishermen's shelters on the beach and, after waiting for a while, jumped into the sea.

ELDERLY WOMAN WHO JUMPED INTO THE SEA LOST HER LIFE

Citizens who saw the woman lying motionless in the water immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification. Diver police retrieved the lifeless body of the elderly woman from the water. Medical teams determined in their initial checks that Azime A. had lost her life.
