In Canakkale, 9-year-old Yusuf Talha Canli lost his life and his mother Sevda Canli is in intensive care after being poisoned as a result of pest control carried out in a neighboring apartment. The homeowner Z.B. and the pest control company official O.E., detained in connection with the incident, were arrested, while the company employee B.E.S. was released under judicial control. Yusuf Talha was the first baby born at Mehmet Akif Ersoy State Hospital; he bore the name of the hospital's chief physician.
A 9-year-old child named Yusuf Talha Çanlı lost his life due to alleged poisoning from insecticide applied in a neighboring apartment in Çanakkale. His mother, Sevda Çanlı, is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at the hospital. Three suspects were detained in connection with the incident. Among them, the homeowner Z.B. and the pest control company official Ö.E. were arrested. The company employee B.E.S. was released under judicial supervision.
MOTHER'S INTENSIVE CARE TREATMENT CONTINUES
The incident occurred the previous evening at an apartment in the Derya Apartments on Şehit Gürol Street, Barbaros Neighborhood. When Uğur Çanlı (41) came home in the evening, he found his wife Sevda and son Yusuf Talha Çanlı unconscious. Uğur Çanlı then took his wife and child to Mehmet Akif Ersoy State Hospital by car. After initial intervention, the mother and child were transferred to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital. It was determined that Sevda and Yusuf Talha Çanlı had been poisoned. As his condition worsened, Yusuf Talha Çanlı was transferred by ambulance helicopter to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital in Istanbul. However, Çanlı could not be saved despite all efforts by the doctors. Sevda Çanlı's intensive care treatment continues.

FIRST BABY BORN AT MEHMET AKİF ERSOY STATE HOSPITAL
On the other hand, it was noted that Yusuf Talha Çanlı was the first baby born at the Women's Health and Obstetrics Polyclinic of Mehmet Akif Ersoy State Hospital in the Kepez town of the central district. One day after the polyclinic began service, on October 22, 2017, in a birth performed by cesarean section by Obstetrics Specialist Op. Dr. Serkan Satılmış Ertuğrul, the baby was born weighing 2 kilograms. The couple Sevda Çanlı and Uğur Çanlı named him Yusuf Talha. Father Uğur Çanlı said at the time that he gave his son the name of the hospital's Chief Physician, Op. Dr. Yusuf İlker Çömez, who had performed his own treatment and surgery, enabling him to become a father.
