The latest election poll conducted by SONAR Research has revealed that the balances on the political scene have completely changed. In the poll, where the New Party, which made a rapid entry into politics, placed at the top and the AK Party ranked second, the historic loss of votes experienced by the CHP and MHP and their decline to the 5 percent band drew attention.
SONAR Research published the striking results of its public opinion survey titled "If a general election were held this Sunday, which political party would you vote for?", which tracks the pulse of the electorate.
According to the survey, despite being established only a short time ago, the New Party rose to the position of the first party, reaching 24.1% before undecided voters were distributed and 34.3% after distribution. The AK Party ranked second with 30.2% of the vote after the undecided voters were distributed.
MAJOR COLLAPSE IN CHP AND MHP
One of the most talked-about details of the survey was the sharp decline experienced by the main opposition party CHP and MHP, a partner of the People's Alliance. Both parties could only hold around the 5 percent range even after the undecided voters were distributed, and the fact that their vote rates were so close to each other created a shock effect in political circles.

The raw data of the survey "before the undecided voters were distributed" also revealed the depoliticization and reaction tendency in the electorate base. It was noteworthy that the total rate of voters who stated they would not vote and were undecided approached 30%:
- Undecided: 13.5%
- I Won't Go to the Ballot Box: 7.7%
- No Opinion / No Answer: 5.9%
- I Will Cast an Invalid Vote: 2.7%
ERDOGAN LEADS BY A WIDE MARGIN IN THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE
The responses to the open-ended question posed to participants in the survey, "If a presidential election were held this Sunday, who would you want to win?", were also shared. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took the first place, leaving a significant gap over opposition candidates. The fact that the votes of CHP's possible candidates Ekrem Imamoglu, Ozgur Ozel, and Mansur Yavas came out very close to each other indicated that the candidacy race in the opposition camp would intensify.
