Search efforts are ongoing for businessman Halit Yukay, whose boat was found in a damaged state while sailing from Yalova to Bozcaada. His close friend Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ made a call for attention on social media, highlighting four areas.
Businessman Halit Yukay, who set sail from Yalova to Bozcaada on August 4, has not been heard from for days. The boat named "Graywolf," which he owns, was found shattered and partially submerged off the coast of Marmara Island.
THE BOAT WAS FOUND SHATTERED
After Halit Yukay departed from Yalova at 15:10 on August 4, his relatives reported the situation to the authorities when they could not reach him the same day. On August 5, a commercial ship sailing off the coast of Erdek in Balıkesir noticed a shattered boat on the sea surface. Upon inspection by the Coast Guard teams, it was determined that the boat had sustained severe damage and was taking on water. Identification was confirmed using the motor serial number, and it was established that the boat belonged to Halit Yukay.
The Coast Guard Command is continuing search and rescue operations in the area with 1 helicopter, 1 diving team, and 7 floating units. However, the businessman has not yet been reached.
THE CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP WAS ARRESTED
As part of the investigation, C.T., the captain of the cargo ship named "Arel 7," which is alleged to have collided with Yukay's boat, was arrested in Istanbul upon the objection of the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
TATLI TUĞ POINTED OUT FOUR AREAS
While the search efforts continue, Yukay's close friend Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ made another call. The famous actor shared a post on his social media account, marking the search areas and stating, "We thank the Coast Guard, marine police, Coastal Safety, and professional drone teams for their unwavering determination and all their resources in the search for my friend Halit Yukay, both in the area of the accident and in the areas marked on the map."
In the map shared by Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, four separate points stood out for the search efforts. First, the area around the wreckage of the boat found is at the center of the search. Additionally, the Erdek and Bandırma line is among the areas being carefully scanned, especially due to the potential for currents. The other two areas marked on the map have been determined considering the surrounding coastline and current routes.
