The Turkish Statistical Institute has shared the "Socioeconomic Level, 2023" report with the public. According to the report published by TÜİK, the lowest socioeconomic level was found in Çamoluk, while the highest level was in Çankaya.

According to the "Socioeconomic Level-2023" report released by TÜİK, 1.1% of households in Turkey are at the highest level, 11% at the upper level, 16.4% at the upper lower level, 19.7% at the upper middle level, 16.5% at the lower middle level, 18.6% at the lower level, and 16.7% at the lowest level.
When examined by provinces, it was observed that 2.5% of households in Ankara are at the highest level, 16.5% at the upper level, 20% at the upper lower level, 17.5% at the upper middle level, 17.4% at the lower middle level, 14% at the lower level, and 12.2% at the lowest level.
STRIKING NUMBERS IN ISTANBUL AND IZMIR
When looking at the distribution of households in Istanbul by socioeconomic level groups, it was seen that 2.4% are at the highest level, 16.4% at the upper level, 19% at the upper lower level, 18.6% at the upper middle level, 17.2% at the lower middle level, 13.8% at the lower level, and 12.6% at the lowest level.
In Izmir, 1.2% of households are at the highest level, 12.4% at the upper level, 17.6% at the upper lower level, 18.8% at the upper middle level, 17.8% at the lower middle level, 17.1% at the lower level, and 15% at the lowest level.
ISTANBULITES TOOK THE LEAD
28.6% of households in the highest and upper level group are located in Istanbul. When the households in the highest [A+] and upper [A] socioeconomic level groups are ranked according to their proportions within Turkey, the provinces with the highest number of households at these levels are Istanbul with 28.6%, Ankara with 11.5%, Izmir with 6.7%, Bursa with 3.9%, and Antalya with 3.3%.
HIGHEST LEVEL DENSITY IN ÇANKAYA
4.1% of households in the highest and upper level group are located in Çankaya. When the households in the highest [A+] and upper [A] socioeconomic level groups are ranked according to their proportions within Turkey, the districts with the highest number of households at these levels are Çankaya (Ankara) with 4.1%, Kadıköy (Istanbul) with 2.4%, and Yenimahalle (Ankara) with 1.9%. The district with the least wealthy residents in Istanbul is Sultangazi.
THE MOST POPULAR DISTRICT IS AGAIN ÇANKAYA
The district with the highest socioeconomic level is Çankaya. When the districts are ranked according to average socioeconomic level, the seven districts with the highest scores are Çankaya (Ankara), Kadıköy (Istanbul), Beşiktaş (Istanbul), Etimesgut (Ankara), Nilüfer (Bursa), Bakırköy (Istanbul), and Güzelbahçe (Izmir).
The seven districts with the lowest scores are Çamoluk (Giresun), Derebucak (Konya), Doğanşar (Sivas), Felahiye (Kayseri), Dikmen (Sinop), Pınarbaşı (Kastamonu), and Bayramören (Çankırı).
