In Sivas, a car that was parked without having its handbrake engaged caused panic by moving on its own and falling into a pond. The vehicle, which was unoccupied, was retrieved from the water by teams dispatched to the scene following a report, after approximately one hour of work.
HANDBRAKE FORGOTTEN, CAR DRAGGED INTO WATER
The incident occurred near Yıldız Pond in the Yıldız district of central Sivas. The car with license plate 58 ADZ 078, which was parked on the pond shore, began moving after a while and fell into the water because the handbrake was not engaged.
TEAMS MOBILIZED
Upon the report, AFAD and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. The fact that no one was inside the vehicle prevented a potential disaster.
RECOVERED AFTER 1 HOUR OF EFFORT
AFAD teams entered the water and attached a rope to the car. After approximately one hour of work, the vehicle was lifted from the pond with the help of a crane and brought to the shore. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
