In Eskişehir, a plainclothes police officer noticed a motorcycle rider without a license who was riding with the front wheel lifted and stopped at a red light. The officer quickly collected the keys from the rider and his two friends, issuing a total fine of 53,000 TL.

Recently, a group of three motorcyclists went out for a ride on Atatürk Boulevard in Eskişehir during the night. One of the group lifted the front wheel of his motorcycle and rode on one wheel for a long time on the street, occasionally weaving in and out, putting traffic at risk. After performing these dangerous maneuvers, the group stopped at a red light.

At that moment, a plainclothes police officer approached the group like a civilian and, without saying anything, stopped the engines of the three motorcycles and collected the keys. The motorcyclists, who thought the officer was a civilian, were stunned for a while. The events were captured second by second on the helmet camera of Salih Kızıl, who was riding a motorcycle in the group.

53 THOUSAND TL FINE IMPOSED

Later, the plainclothes police imposed a total fine of 53 thousand TL on two members of the three-motorcycle group for riding on one wheel in traffic, using a motorcycle without a license plate, and driving without a license. Additionally, it was learned that the motorcyclist who was riding on one wheel had recently been fined for a similar offense and would pay the fine by selling his gaming console.

"WHEN WE STOPPED AT THE LIGHTS, THEY PACKAGED US"

Salih Kızıl, a 21-year-old motorcyclist from the fined group, recounted the events. Kızıl noted that what they did in traffic was wrong, saying, "We were riding on the boulevard with my friends. I was filming my friend, and he lifted the front of the motorcycle. A plainclothes police officer followed us from behind. When we stopped at the lights, they packaged us. They turned off the lights on the police car, and the officer took off his vest. He came around us like a civilian and collected our keys one by one. My friend's key was taken first because he didn't have a license plate. We were very surprised at that moment and couldn't say anything; we were frozen. I thought the officer was a civilian, so I said, 'What's going on, man?' The police officer took the keys directly without saying anything. My friend who lifted the front wheel doesn't have a license. My friend got a fine of about 40 thousand for speeding, weaving, not having a mirror, and having an exaggerated exhaust. The other friend received a fine of 13 thousand lira for not having a mirror and weaving. I advise other motorcyclists to ride carefully and calmly. My friend regretted the incident and decided not to do it again. I am being careful and not doing such things," he said.
