HIS LIFELESS BODY WAS FOUND AT THE BASE OF A CONSTRUCTION WALL
Dorukhan Büyükışık (26), son of retired Major General Ethem Büyükışık, who held important positions in the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), left his home for a nature walk late at night on May 13, 2018. The young man's lifeless body was found at the base of a retaining wall of a construction site 600 meters from his home in the morning hours, and his death was recorded as a fall from height at that time.
23 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED
A special investigative team of 4 people, formed under the chairmanship of the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor, re-examined the case file. As a result of the investigation deepened under the charges of intentional killing, destroying, concealing or altering crime evidence, and false testimony, detention decisions were issued for 26 suspects. In a simultaneous operation conducted in 9 provinces last May, 23 people, including the district police chief, commissioners, police officers, construction company partners and employees, were arrested.
CAUGHT AT İZMİR MENDERES AIRPORT
Another commissioner among the sought-after suspects was caught today. A.K., who served as the Crime Scene Investigation Team Commissioner in the region at the time of the incident, was captured and detained at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport this morning. It was reported that legal proceedings against the suspect are ongoing.
