A couple who shared photos on social media with their baby born out of wedlock in Kırıkkale were injured in a knife attack at the hospital by the woman's three brothers. Following the incident, one of the woman's brothers was detained, while the attack was justified with the words "honor and dignity."

SHARED PHOTO ESCALATED THE FEUD

The incident occurred in the Obstetrics Department of Kırıkkale High Specialization Hospital. According to the information obtained, F.G. (31) and her boyfriend Ö.O. (30), who met through social media about a year ago, started living together after a while. A feud began between the woman and her siblings due to this relationship. It was learned that the father of the baby born to the woman was also her boyfriend. The feud reignited after Ö.O. shared a photo with the newborn baby on his social media account.

Upon seeing the post, the woman's siblings P.G. (29), İ.G. (26), and E.G. (35) came from Kayseri to Kırıkkale. E.G. waited in the car, while P.G. and İ.G. entered the hospital and stabbed F.G. and Ö.O. The hospital police quickly detained the two suspects at the scene. E.G., who fled the scene, was caught by police teams in Kırşehir. A search of the vehicle in which the suspect was found revealed a blank-firing gun.

İ.G., one of the woman's siblings, defended the attack to reporters outside the hospital by saying, "For my honor, for my dignity, not for anything else."
