A family dispute in the village of Derbent in Bartın turned into a horrific tragedy. N.Ç., who shot and killed his spouse with a shotgun during the argument, ended his life by committing suicide with the same weapon afterward.

THE ARGUMENT ESCALATED QUICKLY
The incident occurred in the village of Derbent, connected to Bartın. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between 58-year-old N.Ç. and his 44-year-old wife R.Ç. for an unknown reason. It was learned that the argument escalated quickly.
FIRED WITH A SHOTGUN
During the argument, N.Ç. took the shotgun hanging on the wall in the house and fired at his wife. R.Ç., who was seriously injured, died at the scene.
It was reported that N.Ç., seeing his wife in a pool of blood, committed suicide by shooting himself with the same weapon.
GENDARMERIE INITIATED AN INVESTIGATION
Upon notification, the medical teams that arrived at the scene determined that both individuals had lost their lives. The bodies were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy. The gendarmerie teams' investigation into the incident is ongoing.
