Fluctuating oil prices in global markets will be reflected as a discount on diesel and LPG in Turkey. A reduction of 1 TL is expected for diesel on Friday, and around 1.07 TL for LPG on June 5th.
Global oil prices have started to move again. The escalation of trade tensions between the U.S. and China, particularly the increase of steel and aluminum tariffs by U.S. President Donald Trump to 50%, has brought global recession concerns back to the forefront. Along with these developments, there has been a limited upward movement in oil prices, while expectations for a decrease in fuel prices have emerged.
Brent crude oil is trading around $64 today, with an increase of nearly 2% after closing last week at $62.6. However, signs of weakness in the overall economic outlook indicate that prices may be suppressed in the long term.
DISCOUNTS ON DIESEL AND LPG COMING
If oil prices remain at current levels, a reduction of approximately 1 lira in the price of diesel per liter is expected starting from Friday, May 31. Additionally, a decrease of 1.07 TL in LPG prices is anticipated to be reflected at the pump on Thursday, June 5. These discounts are among the developments that will provide relief to vehicle owners before the summer.
