In the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the president was determined in the third round of voting. Numan Kurtulmuş, the AK Party Istanbul Deputy, was re-elected as the President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly with 329 votes.

SPEAKER ELECTION IN TBMM
The voting for the election of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly was held in the General Assembly. Five deputies applied for the candidacy of the TBMM Speaker. In the first two rounds of the TBMM Speaker election, the candidates did not reach the required 400 votes to be elected.
NO ONE REACHED 400 VOTES IN THE FIRST TWO ROUNDS
In the second round of voting held in the TBMM General Assembly, 543 deputies cast their votes. AK Party Istanbul Deputy Numan Kurtulmuş received 306 votes, CHP Artvin Deputy Uğur Bayraktutan received 120 votes, DEM Party Diyarbakır Deputy Osman Cengiz Çandar received 47 votes, İYİ Party Istanbul Deputy Mustafa Cihan Paçacı received 27 votes, and Yeni Yol Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Karaman received 30 votes. Two votes were left blank, and 11 votes were deemed invalid.
NUMAN KURTULMUŞ WAS RE-ELECTED AS SPEAKER IN THE THIRD ROUND
As none of the candidates reached the two-thirds majority of the total number of members required to be elected as the Speaker of the TBMM, which is 400 votes, the voting proceeded to the third round. AK Party Istanbul Deputy Numan Kurtulmuş was re-elected as the Speaker of the TBMM by receiving 329 votes in the third round of voting.
