In the Yıldızeli district of Sivas, 32-year-old farmer Aziz Kaya, who was bitten by a tick 20 days ago, died at the hospital where he was being treated for suspected Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF). While Kaya's body, who was married and a father of two, was sent to his village, the number of deaths due to CCHF in Sivas and surrounding provinces has risen to 13.

Aziz Kaya (32), who was being treated for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) in Sivas, has died. A farmer and father of two from Belcik village in the Yıldızeli district, a tick attached to Kaya's body 20 days ago. Kaya fell ill shortly after. He was brought to Sivas Cumhuriyet University Medical Faculty Hospital by his relatives with complaints such as high fever and vomiting, and was taken under treatment for suspected CCHF in the anesthesia and intensive care unit.
