Footage from the home of Alparslan Kuytul, who was detained in a dawn operation against the Furkan Foundation, has been released. Kuytul, who objected to the word 'detention' in the warrant presented to him, said, 'I did not flee. I am in my own home; what happens to a person at home cannot be called detention.' After signing the warrant, Kuytul bid farewell to his relatives and left the house escorted by police.
In the dawn operation carried out against the Furkan Foundation in Adana, Founding President Alparslan Kuytul and his wife Semra Kuytul were detained. While images of the moments Kuytul was detained at his home were shared on social media, his reaction to the report handed by the police and the farewell moments before leaving the house drew attention.
RAID AT DAWN
Teams from the Adana Police Department Anti-Terrorism Branch launched a large-scale operation against the Furkan Foundation in the early hours of the morning. Numerous police units were dispatched to the front of the house where the foundation's Founding President Alparslan Kuytul resided. After searches conducted at the house, Alparslan Kuytul, his wife Semra Kuytul, and many foundation members were detained.
REPORT DISPUTE DURING DETENTION
Following the operation, images of the moments when the decision regarding his detention at his home was served to him were shared from Alparslan Kuytul's social media account.
In the images, Kuytul, who examined the report and objected to the statements in the document, is seen reacting to the police with these words:
"I did not flee. If you call it an arrest, I will not sign. What you are doing is detention, and you are doing it unlawfully! I am in my own home; you cannot call it an arrest for a person who is at home."
BID FAREWELL AND TAKEN TO POLICE HEADQUARTERS
After his objections, Kuytul signed the detention decision, and the moments of farewell just before leaving the house to be taken to the police headquarters were also published in the same video. The detained Kuytul couple and foundation members were first brought to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution for a health check under extensive security measures. After their procedures there were completed, the suspects were sent to the police headquarters for statements.
