In the Taşköprü district of Kastamonu, a farmer plowing his field with a tractor noticed a sarcophagus beneath the soil when a sarcophagus lid caught on his plow. After the farmer notified the gendarmerie, teams from the Kastamonu Museum Directorate arrived at the area and began work; the bones and other materials found in the sarcophagus were taken for examination.

SARCOPHAGUS LID GOT CAUGHT ON HIS PLOW
F.A., who was plowing his field with a tractor in the Çay Neighborhood of Örhen village, noticed that a sarcophagus lid had gotten caught on his plow. The farmer reported the situation to gendarmerie teams.
BONES WERE TAKEN FOR EXAMINATION
After the gendarmerie notified them, teams from the Kastamonu Museum Directorate came to the area and began work. The bones and other materials found in the sarcophagus were taken for examination.
