In the Yahyalı district of Kayseri, former neighborhood headman Selahattin Şahin was subjected to an armed attack while sitting in his garden. Şahin, 52, who was shot with a pump-action shotgun by his neighbor M.A., reported to be in a feud with him, died in the hospital where he was taken in serious condition. Selahattin Şahin (52), the former headman of the neighborhood, was subjected to an armed attack while sitting in the garden of his house. It was claimed that the person who carried out the attack was his neighbor M.A., with whom Şahin was stated to have a feud.
ATTACKED WHILE SITTING IN HIS GARDEN
According to the information obtained, Selahattin Şahin was in the garden of his house in the morning hours. At that time, it was stated that his neighbor M.A. fired at Şahin with a pump-action shotgun.
Those around notified the teams about the former headman who was injured in the armed attack. Upon the report, gendarmerie and health teams were dispatched to Kapuzbaşı Neighborhood.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL IN SERIOUS CONDITION
Health teams arriving at the scene provided first aid to the injured Selahattin Şahin. Şahin was then taken to the hospital by ambulance and received treatment.
Despite the doctors' intervention, the 52-year-old former headman could not be saved and lost his life.
SUSPECT NEIGHBOR TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Following the attack, gendarmerie teams launched an investigation into the incident. M.A., stated to be the murder suspect, was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.
It was reported that, in addition to the procedures carried out against the suspect, the investigation continues in order to clarify all aspects of the incident.
According to initial information, it was stated that there was a previous feud between Selahattin Şahin and the attack suspect M.A.
