A gun attack on a kebab shop in Adana was linked to a power struggle between two gangs. Teams investigating the murder of a person named Şehmus Yılmaz, who was killed by a motorcycle-riding assailant, captured a 16-year-old suspect in a warehouse where he was hiding in Mersin.

INVESTIGATION COMPLETED
The teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch completed the investigation related to the shooting of Şehmus Yılmaz (32) by an unidentified motorcyclist at a restaurant on İnönü Street in the Seyhan district on December 10, 2024.
A GANG WAR BROKE OUT
The homicide team determined that Yılmaz was killed due to a power struggle between two rival criminal organizations. The teams identified that the attacker was 16-year-old E.M. by examining the security camera footage from businesses in the area. E.M., who was found to have fled to Mersin, was captured in a raid on a warehouse where he was hiding in the Kuzeykent neighborhood of the Yenişehir district.
THE HITMAN COULD NOT COLLECT THE MURDER PAYMENT
The suspect, who is alleged to have committed the murder for money and claimed he did not receive the agreed payment, was taken to the Adana Police Department. After processing at the Child Branch Directorate, the suspect was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the on-duty magistrate. Police teams are continuing their efforts to capture those who instigated E.M.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On December 10, 2024, a restaurant on İnönü Street was shot at by a motorcyclist, resulting in employee Şehmus Yılmaz being shot in the neck and seriously injured. Yılmaz, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance, could not be saved.
