In the money laundering investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office upon the complaint of German businesspeople, a detention order was issued for 6 people, including Aylin Kotil, Emir Sarıgül, and journalist Murat Ağırel. A video recording said to belong to Mustafa Sarıgül and the allegations regarding this recording added a new dimension to the investigation.

Hot developments are unfolding in the wide-ranging money laundering investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Detention orders have been issued for Mustafa Sarıgül's ex-wife Aylin Kotil, their sons Emir Sarıgül and Ömer Sarıgül, and journalist Murat Ağırel. It was announced that the file of Mustafa Sarıgül, who has parliamentary immunity, would be separated and sent to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office within the scope of the investigation.

THE PROCESS WAS SET IN MOTION BY THE COMPLAINT OF GERMAN BUSINESSPEOPLE

It was learned that the investigation was launched upon the complaint of two German citizen businesspeople and the evidence submitted. In the complainants' statements, it is alleged that large amounts of money of unknown origin were laundered through companies established domestically and abroad, and that aggravated fraud and irregularities were committed through 80 million Euro contracts and 100 million Euro transfer transactions.

A CONFUSING VIDEO RECORDING

As the repercussions of the incident continued, a video recording shared by journalist Emrullah Erdinç on his social media account drew attention. In the footage in question, it was claimed that Mustafa Sarıgül held detailed discussions with a person about money transfers and the process of transferring these funds to companies.

SARIGÜL: THE MATTER IS A COMMERCIAL BUSINESS DISPUTE, THE ALLEGATIONS ARE UNFOUNDED

MP Mustafa Sarıgül, who made a statement regarding the grave allegations against him, confirmed that he held a number of commercial discussions with German citizens for the purpose of establishing a company and making investments. However, Sarıgül stated that the discussions in question did not turn into a concrete investment and emphasized that the situation consisted merely of a commercial business dispute. Arguing that the opposing party's claims were unfounded and the documents were dubious, Sarıgül stated that his lawyer would also make a detailed statement shortly.
