60-year-old Cengiz Gül lost his balance and fell into the sea while walking along the shore in the Payas district of Hatay, drowning to death. The heartbreaking moments of the unfortunate man struggling to survive in the water were captured second by second on security cameras.
A heartbreaking drowning incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the coast of Karacami District in Payas, Hatay. 60-year-old Cengiz Gül, who was spending time in a shelter by the seaside, lost his life due to a momentary lapse of attention and misfortune.
LOST HIS BALANCE AND FELL FROM THE BOAT
According to the information obtained, on the morning of June 22, while wandering around the shelter area and where the boats were docked, Cengiz Gül suddenly lost his balance. The unfortunate man, unable to regain control, fell from the boat into the sea. Panicking in the water, Gül began struggling for a while to reach the surface and survive.
DIVER TEAMS REACHED HIS LIFELESS BODY
Nearby citizens, noticing a person struggling in the sea and disappearing from sight shortly after, promptly reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, coast guard, police, and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
As a result of search and rescue efforts conducted by coast guard diver teams who arrived at the area quickly, Cengiz Gül's body was recovered from the water. In the initial intervention and examination by medical teams at the scene, it was determined that Gül had died by drowning. The unfortunate man's lifeless body was taken to the morgue by a hearse after the necessary examinations.
