9 smuggled cryptocurrency mining devices were seized in a hidden underground room beneath the garden of a suspect's residence, who was detained as part of an operation targeting the Tepebaşı Municipality in Eskişehir.

A raid was conducted targeting the Tepebaşı Municipality, and nearly 20 suspects were detained.

SECRET ROOM BURIED IN THE GARDEN DISCOVERED

Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Unit determined that there was a hidden room buried beneath the garden of suspect Ö.E.'s residence in the Keskin neighborhood.

ENGAGED IN CRYPTOCURRENCY MINING

During the search of the room, 9 smuggled coin (cryptocurrency) mining devices belonging to Ö.E. were seized. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect for violating Law No. 5607 on Anti-Smuggling.

MUNICIPAL OFFICIAL WAS ALSO IN THAT HOUSE

During the operation, it was determined that D.G., one of the female administrators serving as the Acting Head of the Village Affairs Department at the municipality and among the suspects for whom detention orders were issued, was in the same house as Ö.E. at the time of the raid.
