A new gold and copper reserve has been discovered in neighboring Bulgaria, just 1 kilometer from an active mining site. Drilling operations have yielded high purity rates, and it is noted that this new site can be easily operated at very low costs due to its proximity to existing infrastructure.

NEXT TO ONE OF THE ‘BIGGEST’ MINES
Canadian-based mining giant DPM Metals announced that rich gold and copper reserves have been discovered at the Brevene South Porphyry (BSP) site within the country's borders. The newly discovered reserve area is located approximately 75 kilometers east of the capital Sofia.
One of the most striking features of the reserve is that it is located just 1 kilometer away from the Chelopech Mine, one of Europe's highest-grade active gold-copper mines and DPM Metals' most important asset.
DRILLING DATA IMPRESSED
Initial data from the ongoing drilling work at the BSP site revealed the richness of the mine.
Accordingly, 1.31 grams of gold per ton and 1.16% copper were detected along 713 meters in the drill hole.
In the more intense 398-meter section within this drill hole, values rose to 1.48 grams of gold per ton and 1.45% copper.
"VERY EASY TO OPERATE ECONOMICALLY"
According to information reported by Mining, one of the leading industry publications, experts state that this new discovery makes the BSP site a "potentially very high-grade porphyry system."
Furthermore, the proximity of the newly discovered reserves to the Chelopech mining infrastructure, which has been in active production for over twenty years, provides a significant logistical advantage.
Experts state that this will considerably reduce the future setup and operating costs of the new mine and greatly facilitate its economic operation.
