A striking claim has emerged regarding Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee following the cancellation of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress. It has been alleged that Gürsel Tekin paid his membership fee just one day before the court decision in order to maintain his party membership.
The Istanbul 45th Civil Court decided to suspend the president and management elected at the CHP's 38th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress and to appoint a temporary management board to the Provincial Presidency.
GÜRSEL TEKİN, APPOINTED AS A TRUSTEE, WAS EXPELLED FROM CHP
With this decision, CHP Istanbul Provincial President Özgür Çelik and his management were dismissed. Gürsel Tekin was appointed as a trustee in his place. However, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who convened the Central Executive Board (MYK) extraordinarily, later stated in a press release that they had expelled Gürsel Tekin from the party.
