In Niğde, a truck collided with a car waiting in the emergency lane, resulting in the deaths of three people, including two children, and one person was injured. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
Three people, including two children, lost their lives and one person was injured in an accident where a truck crashed into a car waiting on the emergency lane of the highway in Niğde.
TRUCK CRASHED INTO THE CAR WAITING ON THE EMERGENCY LANE
The accident occurred around 18:30 in the Başmakçı area of the Niğde-Pozantı Highway in the Ulukışla district. The car with license plate 42 AVB 151, in which Şaban Şahin (63) was driving, was hit by a truck with license plate 51 ADV 957, driven by Ali Y. (60).
3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
The car, which had four people including the driver, got stuck between the truck and the steel barriers. Upon the notification of the surrounding people, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. The driver Şaban Şahin, Leyla Şahin (9), Muhammet Yiğit Şahin (9), and Muhammet Şahin (23), who were trapped in the vehicle, were rescued by the fire brigade teams. It was determined during the health team's examination that the driver and Muhammet Yiğit Şahin and Leyla Şahin had lost their lives.
Mohammed Şahin, who survived the accident with injuries, was taken to Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that the injured person's life was not in danger. The bodies of those who lost their lives in the accident were taken to the morgue for autopsy. The investigation initiated regarding the accident is being carried out by the gendarmerie.
