The brutality orchestrated by a four-person crime gang in the Tameside area of England has been brought to justice. The gang, led by Coleen Campbell, first beat a woman in the middle of the street and then brutally murdered her ex-husband.
Violence in the Street
38-year-old Coleen Campbell and three of her friends attacked a woman right in the middle of the street. Security camera footage showed Campbell hitting the woman with a hammer while the others attacked her with kicks and punches. The assault lasted for 90 seconds, during which the woman was knocked to the ground.
A week after the street attack, Campbell laid the groundwork for the murder of her ex-husband, Thomas Campbell. In her garden, while wearing pajamas, she detailed Thomas's exact address, vehicle license plate, and house number to three attackers.
The assailants caught Thomas in front of his house and dragged him inside. During two hours of torture, they ruthlessly beat the man. They stabbed him and burned him with boiling water. According to forensic reports, 61 separate wounds were found on Thomas's body.
