The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has imposed seizure actions on 6 CHP municipalities due to SGK premium debts. Blockades have been placed on the deposits and company accounts of Adana, Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin Metropolitan Municipalities, and Şişli Municipality. THE HIGHEST DEBT IS IN ANKARAAmong the municipalities with the highest debts to SGK, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality ranks first with 5.7 billion TL, followed by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality with 5.3 billion TL, and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in third place with 3.3 billion TL. The debt of Adana Metropolitan Municipality is recorded as 3 billion TL, Şişli Municipality's debt is 1.8 billion TL, and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality's debt is 1 billion TL. According to Sabah's news, the Ministry has blocked both the deposit accounts and the accounts of the affiliated companies of the municipalities. PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN SAID "SHAKE THEM"Last week, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan instructed Labor Minister Vedat Işıkhan to 'shake' the CHP municipalities regarding their SGK debts. President Erdoğan stated, "I invite the opposition, which announces the minimum wage through an auction method, to pay their accumulated debts to SGK if they are going to do something for the benefit of the country and the nation. It would be beneficial for the minister to shake them much more decisively."
