The Muğla Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams seized 1 ton of counterfeit alcohol before it could be released into the market during comprehensive inspections conducted throughout the province. Additionally, illegal alcohol, hookah tobacco, and weapons were found, and 5 suspects were taken into custody.
3,520 PEOPLE'S BACKGROUND CHECKS WERE CONDUCTED
The gendarmerie teams carried out a large-scale operation with the participation of 96 public order teams and 384 personnel to prevent the sale of counterfeit alcohol. During the inspections, 859 public establishments were checked, and background checks were conducted on 3,520 individuals.
THEY WERE REFERRED TO THE COURT
While 3 individuals wanted for various crimes were captured and taken into custody, judicial searches resulted in the seizure of 1 ton of counterfeit alcohol, 216 liters of ethyl alcohol, 120 kilograms of illegal hookah tobacco, 1 blank-firing pistol, 1 magazine, 13 knives, and 13 bullets. The suspects were referred to the court after their processing.
