Koç Holding's subsidiary Yapı Kredi is preparing to establish a cryptocurrency trading platform with a capital of 1.2 billion TL. The new company, which will be a first in its field, will operate under the umbrella of Yapı Kredi Financial Technologies Inc.

Koç Holding's Yapı ve Kredi Bankası is transferring its investments in financial technologies to the world of crypto assets. The bank announced that a new company will be established to set up a crypto asset trading platform.
WILL BE ONE OF THE FIRSTS IN THE FIELD
According to the statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the new platform will be established under Yapı Kredi Financial Technologies Inc. A capital increase of up to 1 billion 185 million TL will be made for this initiative, and Yapı Kredi Bank will directly participate in this increase. The newly established platform is expected to be one of the first licensed cryptocurrency exchanges in Turkey.
The bank's statement included the following expressions:
"The Bank's Board of Directors has decided to participate in the establishment of a company that is planned to be established for the purpose of engaging in crypto asset trading platform activities, owned by Yapı Kredi Financial Technologies Inc., whose entire capital belongs to our Bank, provided that the necessary permissions are obtained... for the purpose of meeting the capital needs of the company."
