A fire broke out in a passenger minibus in Kartal, Istanbul. The 20 passengers on board were quickly evacuated before the fire. The minibus was completely burned due to the fire, but there were no injuries or fatalities in the incident.
A passenger minibus burned fiercely in Kartal. While 20 passengers in the minibus were evacuated before the fire, the burning minibus turned to ashes.
The incident occurred around 1:00 PM on Vatansever Street in the Hürriyet neighborhood of Kartal. According to reports, smoke began to rise from the passenger minibus with license plate 34 M 1070, which was traveling towards Kartal on the Kartal-Yayalar neighborhood route.
Noticing the situation, the driver stopped the minibus and evacuated the 20 passengers on board. During the fire, which saw flames rising, there were occasional explosions. Firefighters who arrived at the scene upon notification intervened in the flames and extinguished the fire.
"THERE WERE 20 PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE"
Necati Demirci, a passenger in the minibus, stated, "A fire broke out suddenly due to a malfunction. There were 20 passengers in the vehicle, and the passengers were evacuated." Fortunately, no one was injured or lost their life due to the fire, but the burned minibus became unusable. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
