In the Fethiye district of Muğla, a motorcycle collided with a flock of sheep crossing the road. In the accident, the rider of the overturned motorcycle was injured, and 8 sheep died. The gendarmerie imposed an administrative fine of 1250 TL on the owner of the sheep, Osman Koyuncu, for leaving the flock uncontrolled and unattended.

MOTORCYCLE COLLIDED WITH SHEEP
The accident occurred around 5:30 PM in the Değirmenbaşı area of Fethiye Üzümlü Road. The motorcycle with the license plate 48 AGN 068, driven by Abdülkadir Akdaş, hit the flock of sheep trying to cross the road. In the accident, Akdaş was thrown from the overturned motorcycle and was injured, while 8 sheep died. Upon notification from the surrounding people, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Akdaş was taken to Fethiye State Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
8 SHEEP DIED
After the accident, the gendarmerie traffic teams conducted an investigation and fined the owner of the sheep, Osman Koyuncu, 1250 TL for leaving the flock uncontrolled and stray. The 8 deceased sheep were removed from the location by municipal teams and disposed of.
The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident.
