A mother who gave birth two days ago in Bursa noticed that her baby was in distress just four hours after being discharged from the hospital. Despite all the interventions, the tiny baby could not be saved.

The baby of Ahmet and Fatma Hamidov, who live in Bursa, was discharged from Bursa City Hospital 4 hours ago after being born 2 days ago. After leaving the hospital, the couple returned to their home in the Altonova neighborhood of the Osmangazi district with their 2-day-old baby. After breastfeeding her baby, the mother placed him in the crib and, after resting for a while, noticed that the little one was in distress when she checked on him. Upon the woman's report to the 112 emergency services, health teams arrived at the address and performed the first intervention in the ambulance. Despite all efforts, the little one could not be saved and was transferred to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Morgue.

"WE HAVEN'T EVEN NAMED HIM"

The grieving father, who learned that his child had died, said, "My wife gave birth at Bursa City Hospital 2 days ago. We were discharged 4 hours ago. Then we came home. After breastfeeding the baby, my wife placed him in his bed. After a while, my mother noticed a change in the child's color when she checked on him. They informed the teams. When the health teams arrived, they intervened, but they couldn't save him. I want to know why my child died. We hadn't even named him yet. I was going to take the documents and go to the district governor's office in the morning," he said.

An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
