In Sarıyer Ayazağa, one of the districts in Istanbul that receives the most rainfall, after the heavy rainfall that was effective, water flooded the businesses along the street, while some vehicles were swept away by floodwaters. The extent of the damage caused by the flood in the area became apparent as the day broke.
The heavy rainfall that was effective in Ayazağa Neighborhood of Sarıyer district in Istanbul caused flooding. As avenues and streets filled with floodwaters, disruptions occurred in vehicle and pedestrian transportation. Many businesses on the avenue were also affected by the floods.
CITIZENS TRAPPED
After the rainfall, some citizens were trapped in the area. While citizens trapped at stops waited to be rescued, some people were removed from their locations with the help of construction machinery and tractors.
THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE FLOOD BECAME APPARENT IN THE MORNING
After the intense work carried out by teams throughout the night, the effect of the floods decreased as the water accumulated in the area was drained in the early hours of the morning. As the work continued, with the break of dawn, the damage caused by the flood was also revealed. In Ayazağa Neighborhood, vehicles that were swept away by floodwaters and sustained heavy and moderate damage were captured on camera.
