A paper collector in Kadıköy found the body of Meki Poyraz in the elevator shaft of an abandoned building. The incident, which is recorded as Poyraz's 'suspicious death', is believed to have occurred after he fell from the 5th floor, and his body was received from the Forensic Medicine.
FOUND MOTIONLESS IN THE ELEVATOR SHAFT
The incident occurred on February 8 at around 18:00 in Dumlupınar Neighborhood, Mehmet Cevdet Anday Street. According to the information obtained, a person collecting paper from the streets with a cart saw someone lying motionless in the elevator shaft of a building under construction where he entered to collect waste.
DIED AFTER FALLING FROM THE 5TH FLOOR
Upon the notification of the paper collector, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the police teams took security measures in the area, the medical teams determined that the person lying on the ground had passed away. Investigations at the scene revealed that the deceased was Meki Poyraz and that he had fallen into the elevator shaft from the 5th floor of the 6-story building.
After the work of the crime scene investigation teams and the prosecutor, Poyraz's body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution. It was learned that investigations regarding the incident, which is considered a 'suspicious death', are ongoing.

The body of Meki Poyraz, whose autopsy procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institution have been completed, was received by his family. It was learned that Poyraz would be buried in Maltepe Başıbüyük Cemetery after the funeral prayer to be held today.
