US President Donald Trump shook the agenda with his recent statements on NATO and relations with Russia. Describing NATO as a "paper tiger," Trump argued that the alliance has no deterrent effect on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"PUTIN IS AFRAID OF US"
Emphasizing that the impact of his administration is stronger, Trump claimed that Putin is more afraid of the US than the alliance. Referring to his meetings with Putin, Trump stated, "NATO is a paper tiger. Putin is not afraid of NATO. Putin is afraid of us, very afraid. He has told me this personally many times."
"155 AIRCRAFT PARTICIPATED IN THE OPERATION TO RESCUE OUR PILOTS"
On the other hand, Trump also provided information about the operation to rescue the pilots of the F-15 aircraft shot down by Iran. Trump said: "It was a historic operation. It lasted 7 hours. 21 aircraft entered Iran. We surprised Iranian forces and redirected them to different areas. We sent them to 7 different locations, conducting a diversionary operation. We came out without any losses. We never leave any US soldier behind; we were under heavy fire.
We rescued them with a beautiful helicopter. It was a great operation. We used a total of 155 aircraft, including 4 bombers, 64 fighter jets, 48 refueling aircraft, and 13 rescue aircraft. The pilot was very brave; he climbed the mountain, was losing blood, but was not captured.
